Kate Camino (center) received the UNR College of Liberal Art’s highest honor for a classified employee for 2015.

The Center was proud to join Kate Camino and her family on Friday, May 1, 2015 for the presentation of an award from UNR’s College of Liberal Arts. The award recognized Kate as the entire college’s outstanding classified employee of the year. Kate has worked at the Center since 1998 and in addition to managing the office, she participates in marketing and publications management and teaches Basque. She is able to help visitors, scholars, and everyone else not only with grace and unfailing good cheer, but also in four different languages: Basque, English, Spanish and French. The Center is blessed to have her as a part of the team.

Joseba Zulaika adds, “For the last 17 years Kate Camino has been CBS’s program manager, as well as its gracious host, gatekeeper and voice. If the the CBS is a port of entry for many researchers and visitors seeking information about the Basques, this is only possible because Kate serves ad their unfailing guide.”

ZorionakĀ Kate!
